I have worn a uniform for a large part of my life so self presentation is very important to me, I take great pride in my appearance; cleanliness; manners; respect and actions towards others and attention to detail in my work at all times.
Health & Safety is foremost in my mind, I have always taken on the role of Health & Safety Officer in all previous roles and I hold the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safety Certificate. I have the ability to 'step back and assess the wider picture in detail, then decide on the best and safest way forward'.
I have had a varied experience in a range of managerial; technical and manual fields, which has given me a sound background and the patience; confidence; determination and ingenuity required to tackle and find solutions for any task set before me. My move to Wales forced me to undertake a range of roles which I may have never before considered, these roles have given me valuable experience, increased my understanding, my mental; practical and dexterity skills.
I have advanced computing skills and understanding of a wide range of software types. I enjoy problem solving and often act as 'troubleshooter' installing software or repairing computers of friends using remote control software. I also enjoy designing and developing websites.
I have a range of hobbies, the most prominent being the use of personal computers. I also enjoy writing and I am a published Author.
I enjoy driving, and being trained to the 'Roadcraft' advanced emergency vehicle driver standard by the Ambulance Service, I always drive to that standard with safety and comfort in mind. I also enjoy DIY; puzzles and swimming.
